Introducing Christoph Schroeder

automed CEO David Edwards previously worked for Christoph during his time at Kopex. While with Kopex, David was inspired by his driven and forward-thinking mentality, honesty, and passion that when automed was looking for a non-executive director, Christoph was an easy selection.

Christoph joined the automed team in 2018 as the non-executive director Europe and is involved in challenging the direction and performance of the company, and strategic planning including a heavy focus in Europe. He has played a key role in the development and growth of the European market, including the recent launch of automed’s first European distributor, VenoFrance.

“As we set our strategic direction and continue to grow globally, it is key that we involve people that not only believe in our product but also help us to grow and achieve our goals,” comments David. “Christoph is revenue-driven and sales-focused and those two qualities are key in the growth and expansion of automed.”

Christoph has an extensive background in engineering, management, international business development and restructuring of medium-sized companies. He holds a degree in Engineering from the University in Wuppertal and a degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University Hagen, both universities located in Germany. He resides with his wife and two kids in the city of Gelsenkirchen in the western part of Germany.

Christoph adds, “My reasons to choose automed was David’s enthusiasm and his power to grow a company. He’s a perfect example for modern entrepreneurship.”

In addition to his role with automed, Christoph is Managing Director of the German subsidiaries of the Austrian Komptech Group, a leading international technology supplier of machinery and systems for the mechanical and mechanical-biological treatment of solid waste and for the treatment of biomass as a renewable energy source.
